We’re Cassie and Gary — a British couple who left behind high rent and low joy in search of something slower, simpler, and entirely our own.

What began with a converted bus in Devon turned into three happy years of tiny living. Eventually, our journey brought us to rural north-west France, where we found the old farmhouse we now call home.

Together, we created Nid Nomade — two unique, handcrafted tiny homes designed for couples seeking a peaceful escape in the French countryside. One is a cosy shepherd’s hut with an outdoor bath, the other a converted bus tucked among the trees. No TV, no pressure — just calm, comfort, and countryside views.

Gary brings the building skills, I bring the design, and between us we’ve crafted something special: a place where guests come to rest, celebrate, and reconnect with nature.
