A cosy, design-led shepherd’s hut tucked away in a quiet corner of rural Mayenne. Inside, there’s a proper shower and toilet, a log burner for chilly nights, and a double bed for two. Outside, you’ll find a private outdoor bath, a firepit, and views of the field where our kune kune pigs wander.

This is simple, peaceful living — perfect for slowing down, switching off, and soaking up the countryside.

And when the sun goes down, pour a glass of something bubbly and soak in the outdoor bathtub under the stars.

  • Tucked beneath buttery-soft French linen, the double bed in The Piggery is made for long, restful nights and slow, dreamy mornings. With the flick of a switch, electric blinds reveal open fields — all visible from under the covers. It’s cosy, quiet, and irresistibly comfortable.

  • Whether you’re here to switch off or explore, there’s plenty to enjoy. Spend lazy afternoons playing board games by the fire, toasting marshmallows, or watching the sunset from the tub. If you’re feeling adventurous, there are over 30km of hiking and cycling trails starting right from the doorstep. Take a short drive to discover charming villages, historic towns, and bustling local markets. Mont Saint-Michel is just 60 minutes away, and the beaches of Saint-Malo are around 90 minutes by car. You can even hire paddleboards to explore local rivers and waterways when the weather’s warm.
